About

I bet you're wondering why I've called you here.

I am the product of a small, mid-west family whose parents decided to stop having children after I was born. Yeah, feel free to read into that one. I will tell you when our oldest child had colic my mom told me she always had hoped I'd have a child like me. Gee, thanks mom. (can you see the sarcasm dripping?)

I have one brother. Older brother. Older. Did I mention that? I rarely have memories of playing with dolls or with my mini kitchen. Instead my memories are in the form of playing construction with many yellow Tonka trucks, nailing down a metal roof on our very large chicken coop, and learning a killer-punch as a survival tool. (don't worry, it was only his arm that stung like crazy from my punch) Perhaps this is why my home making skills are lacking?

Married for 27 years with three children, who are now fresh into adulthood. All three offspring are a productive part of society, even though we taught them at home from beginning to end. (Those who have taught at home will understand that last statement.)

I'm a slight introvert. People who know me have a hard time believing that one. But, it is true. I took a test so it must be true.

Even though I'm far into adulthood, I'm still trying to figure out how to live a Christ-centered life pleasing to our Creator. Honestly. Some days are better than others. I'm so glad God is a God of mercy and grace!

This blog was started as a creative outlet. Some posts are more creative than others so read at your own risk. I recently heard a quote by Emily P Freeman, "Art is what happens when you dare to be who you really are." Am I brave enough to be me? Read along and find out...
